Sierra Lynn
Sports Journalist
About Me
Hi. My name is Sierra Lynn, and I am a Journalism and Media master's student at the University of Alabama. I am so excited to be learning about this awesome career path and look forward to becoming a journalist. I hope this site inspires people who are new to journalism, and lets them know that we all have to start somewhere. It's okay to be new and inexperienced at something. Life is about learning!

Fun facts about me: I have two sisters, one of which is my twin sister. Yes, we look alike, get along (we are roommates in college), and no we cannot read each other's minds. I am a sports enthusiast. I played four sports in high school (softball, lacrosse, cross country, and track). My dream is to be a sports broadcaster, but I am keeping my options open (possibly print). I also love animals, reading, the beach, and Jesus.

Work Experience
2022 - 2023
UA Housing and Residential Communities: Community Director
UA's HRC works to develop, engage, and explore the residents that live in their residence halls. As a CD in Presidential Village II, I co-led 24 Resident Advisors with over 800+ residents. The building brings in over $7.4 million revenue an academic year. In my role, I worked under an Area Coordinator, alongside another CD, and led RAs. Not only did we build community, but we helped resolve several resident conflicts and communicate with parents to make sure that residents received a safe and enjoyable experience. Sadly we also had to work with UAPD, UAFD, and EMS.
2018 - 2022
Crimson Tide Productions: Student Production Assistant
CTP is a broadcasting company that works the production side of sports. For example, we run the jumbotron at the football, basketball, volleyball, softball, and baseball games. We also work along side the SEC Network to live stream the home sporting events. I have been working at CTP for two and a half years now, and I have worked positions such as camera operator, utility grip, and shading. In the fall of 2019 and 2020, I was on the football crew as a camera operator. I also helped interview and edit videos for the on-air program.
